We all know how beneficial fish oil is for our health. Not only does it protect us from deadly diseases like cancer, it also improves our memory, reduces skin inflammation (read acne), improves joint mobility (arthritis) and has many, many more benefits. One fish that meets these criteria is the Hoki fish found in the cold waters of New Zealand. The southern coast of New Zealand is one such area that is free from pollution. The Hoki fish found there is rich in DHA Omega 3, making it a prime candidate for producing high quality fish oil.

The correct dosage for such fish oil is 2-3 grams a day, or 2-3 capsules a day, containing a combination of DHA and EPA. The focus, though, should be on choosing a DHA centric fish oil.

Theoretically, you can get this fish oil dosage by directly including fish in your diet too. However, you will have to eat at least two big servings of fish daily to get the optimal amount of fish oil inside. Not only is this difficult to do, but can quickly become expensive too when you calculate how much it’s going to cost you over a month.

Compare this with the cost of a month’s supply of fish oil supplements, which can be almost equal to a single meal’s price. Not only is it pretty inexpensive, it also frees you up to have variety in your food.
