Human Growth Hormone has often been touted as a solution in improving performance in sports. Its markets are the numerous athletes looking for shortcuts, and ways to be better than all the rest of their competition without any regard for the effectivity of the product, and base all their purchases on marketing hype. The companies selling these performance enhancing products have already made a lot of money at the expense of the careers and lives of these types of people.

Unfortunately, these unscrupulous companies have forgone with all precautions and simply refuse to properly inform their customers that there have actually been various studies showing the ineffectivity of HGH improving athletic performance. In addition to this they also refuse to acknowledge the dangers and possible side effects that constant intake of HGH may cause, all because of the almighty dollar.

What the studies do show is that the only improvement that was actually seen was an insignificant increase in muscle mass. Some other studies in fact show that there may have been actually no improvement at all because the increase may have been due to water retention. Studies also have shown that HGH when used in coordination with anabolic steroids have been shown to be effective, but when HGH was used on its' own little to no improvement was seen.

But improper marketing practices using celebrities and the sports heroes have resulted in a totally wrong impression that HGH may actually have a positive effect resulting in a lot of uninformed purchases.

One of the reasons why HGH seems to be so popular with athletes is because unlike anabolic steroids which can easily be detected in the urine, HGH cannot be that easily detected. These athletes often need a placebo and that placebo turns out to be HGH. They think that they can go faster jump higher and be stronger just by taking HGH. Unfortunately they are in for a big disappointment as HGH does little to enhance actual performance, they are better off training harder and should not expect any positive changes from their intake of HGH.

In fact what they should expect are side effects due to wrong doses of HGH. Wrong doses op HGH can be expected because the items of HGH on sale that are said to improve performance in sports are those that are not FDA approved. It should be noted that the only FDA approved means of taking in HGH is though injections, and these injections are only meant to be used for specific illnesses.

It should be important to note that any application of Human Growth Hormone in sports is not FDA approved to the point that it is illegal. HGH is classified as a prescription drug, and it is against the law to distribute it in any other way. This simply means that all sports applications of HGH are illegally marketed aside from being ineffective. This only emphasizes the fact that HGH is not meant for use in sports.
