The Way to a Great Body

One of the things that really annoys me is the way that manufacturers will jump on a trend and totally ruin it. What do I mean by that? Well omega3 and fish oil are gaining in popularity because of the many health benefits they have, some of which I am going to share with you in a minute, so of course certain manufacturers want a slice of the pie but they want it at little cost and most profit regardless of the product they make. Well today I am going to show you three things to look for in a good fish oil to make sure that you do not end out with second rate products.Fish oil is something that everyone should get into their diets because the main thing that it does for you is fight silent killers in your body that are caused by inflammation. What are these silent killers? Things likes strokes, high blood pressure and heart attacks – all of these are caused by inflammation, but the things that we need to fight inflammation are not created naturally in our bodies hence why we need oily fish in our diet or to take supplements. So with that in mind here are the three things you need to know to make sure you are getting a good fish oil1)DHA - You need to make sure the product is not only rich in omega3 but also high in something called DHA. The reason for this is because it is the DHA that is really the anti-inflammatory. Now of course when you take a product that has a good level of omega 3 thats a good start, but if you really want to battle with inflammation and protect yourself as much as possible against the silent killers, then your oil has to be high in DHA.2)Freshness – A sign of a good oil supplement  is that it is processed near to where it is caught. Unfortunately this is quite hard to find and what happens is that a lot of manufacturers use trawlers that are away from shore for quite a long time and the fish is frozen at sea. Nothing wrong with this you might think – unfortunately there is as it causes rancidness in the fish and what this means is that after you have had the tablet made a rancid fish, it can repeat on you giving you horrible fishy burps which taste disgusting, and unfortunately I have experienced this and it is not very pleasant at all.3)Pureness – Even if the fish that makes your tablet is caught in remote waters where there is no interference or pollution from mankind, Mother Nature still creates pollution of its own, that is why the supplement you get must be purified and done in a manner that is called molecularly distilled. Now if the supplement you are getting has not been purified then there is a possibility that you could actually be doing yourself more harm than good by taking it as you may be putting toxins into your body.
