As a professional network marketer I often find myself faced with the decision as to whether I should lead with my products by XanGo or my business opportunity. I usually do my due diligence when screening each prospect but sometimes get surprised when I focus on the product and my prospect is more interested in the business and vice versa. But let’s face it folks, if you don’t have a solid product to back your business opportunity then you really don’t have anything. People today are looking to represent products that they and their family will use/consume and will allow them to feel comfortable marketing. Finding people that are willing to sell and market products that they do not believe in is rare. I sell products first. My business cards indicate this, my car decals advertise it and my website promotes it. I hand out literature that describes the benefits of my products, I do home demonstrations, I give out samples and I attend product specific trade shows. My goal is to show my customers that they can purchase top notch, category leading products from me first and foremost and then I teach them ways to get these products at a reduced price or even for no cost at all. This process not only secures a solid customer foundation but also almost always secures me a business builder whether on a small or a grand scale. Looking after your customers first by leading with your product first is the key to building a successful network marketing business. Without customers we wouldn’t have a business opportunity to offer. By looking after your customers, your foundation, you have a greater chance of building an incredible business and becoming a successful entrepreneur.
