I wanted to talk about what causes snoring and how you can stop it from happening. There are a lot of people that have issues with this problem and they end up hurting the people around them. Think about it for a second. You're sound asleep when you snore, so it is the people around you that have to listen to it. There are specific factors that occur while you're sleep that cause this vibration while you're sleeping. The main reason is that your muscles go to sleep. That ends up causing your tongue to fall further back into your throat and it also causes your jaw to fall open. This is what causes snoring.

When it comes to stopping your snoring problem, there are only so many variables you can control. You obviously can't control the position of your tongue while you sleep, but you can control the position of your jaw. This is why you should use a chin strap. It basically wraps around your chin and the top of your head. It holds up your jaw as you sleep and prevents you from snoring.
