When we are on a strict diet often its too much hard work to stay on it, that after a few weeks we fall off the wagon, and usually end up back where we started from.  We usually have the right intentions, but often we are in a rush to lose the weight and feel better about ourselves.  Its hard work trying to lose weight especially if you are unsure to go about it, or you are trying to find a quick way to lose weight.  Quick ways usually lead to the initial weight loss being good, but then its too strict and we end up back at the beginning.  They say every thing in moderation, which is easier, said than done.  Having the will power to say no, is one of the biggest challenges that you face when trying to lose weight.  We people go on diets they usually are so strict that often they are not allowed to have their favourite foods.  Allowing yourself some of your favourite foods while you are on a diet is the best way to ensure that you dont fall off the wagon with a binge.  This will also make you feel like you are not depriving yourself at all.  Water is a huge part of any weight loss efforts.  The more water you drink the more you will lose.  Water keeps us hydrated and is a great appetite suppressant.  Water has many other benefits as well, it helps keep our skin looking fantastic and healthy, and it helps our liver and kidney processing properly.  If our digestive system is working well then weight will naturally come off us.  A lot of people actually get enough exercise daily, its just we are over eating that is counteracting our exercise.  Portion size is incredibly important when it comes to weight loss; we are all eating too much and ingesting more calories that we need.  Making little changes will result in longer term weight loss; even just switching your regular mayonnaise to low fat will result in a few pounds weight loss in a year. Bodies often will go into starvation mode if you are not eating enough, which means when we do fall off the wagon, our bodies will grab onto the fat we have just given it and hold onto it no matter how hard we try to get rid of it.  Many diets are designed for fast weight loss, which means that you are deprived of your favourite things and often after a couple of weeks, we really feel like we are missing out, we fall off the wagon and tend to never get back on.
