There are literally 100's of different diets today. So knowing how to choose which one will work best for you without being distracted by the latest celebrity endorsements or the newest and fad diet can be difficult. Here is a list of just a few of the diets that are out there... - The Cabbage Diet - The Grapefruit Diet - The Beverly Hills Diet - The Atkins Diet - Slim fast - Dexatrim - Jenny Craig - Weight Watchers And that isn't even the tip of the iceberg; there are many more. First off let's look at the word Diet... well, are you looking at it? Good, now remove the t and what word do you have? Yup, that's right, Die. So let's just remove the word diet from your vocabulary because the more you diet the more you are causing your own death. A third of heart disease and a quarter of all cancers are thought to be diet-related. Here are some dangers of these diets... - dehydration - bodying going into starvation mode - body weakness - constipation - muscle loss - calcium loss - body burning calories at slower rate - possibly put more weight on - prolonged hunger - reduced sex drive - irritability Seriously, lets face it... If you want to lose weight, reduce your chances of developing diabetes, Alzheimer, cardiovascular and heart disease just to name a few things then STOP with the insanity of yo-yo dieting which through deprivation may actually cause cravings for junk foods that should really just be avoided rule. Our bodies will not benefit from junk foods... such as burgers & fries, Cheetos, cookies, cakes, ice cream and anything else processed. These treats are tasty on occasion but are actually quite toxic to our bodies. Our bodies will benefit from whole real foods. Just walk around the outside perimeter of the store. That is where you'll find most of the things your body will benefit from; fresh fruits and vegetables, fish, chicken, fresh meats, some dairy and whole grains. It has been found that certain fruits and vegetables can help fight against many different types of cancers and can help with diabetes, arthritis, high cholesterol, weight loss, blood pressure and heart health just to name a few things. Here is a challenge. Stop eating "junk food" (anything processed such as cookies, cakes, caned soups, frozen foods, fast food restaurants etc.) Only eat real whole foods for 30 day, also drink reversed osmosis water for 30 days. After 30 days, eat one of your favorite cookies or other processed foods and grab a nice tall glass of water from the sink. You will notice a difference in the taste of both the food and water. After I did this, I started to eliminate more of processed foods from my home and will only drink reversed osmosis water because I can't stand the taste of the processed foods or water from the sink. In doing this challenge... don't be surprised if you start to feel a little sick. Why would you feel sick? Because your body is eliminating toxins from your body. But also don't be surprised if you start feeling better than you have in a long time and have more energy and you may even find yourself losing a few pounds.
