Protein - Protein is your friend when you are trying to get rid of fat around your stomach and tone up that midsection.  Protein builds muscle, which in turn will burn more calories naturally throughout the day.  Eat an amount of protein per day equal to half your body weight or more at least.  This will promote muscle growth.

4. Water - Drink lots of water.  The water will flush out all the toxins in your body and keep you more regular and pretty much all functions in your body will run more smoothly.  Also water will keep you hydrated and motivated throughout the day.
