People are planning everything in our days. We plan our holidays, birthdays, wedding day, children birth and even some plan when they'll have sex. Diet requires planning as well. Spend a little time and plan what you'll eat and how much. Stick to your diet plan and you won't have to wait for results long.

1) Cut down calories.

Decide how many calories you want to reduce. Let's say you want to cut down 10% of your caloric intake. Probably you're in dieting for a while and you should know how many calories products have. Switch on your mind; don't rely just on your eyes. Put down on the paper your diet plan and follow it.

2) Eat tasty and good foods.

Treat yourself occasionally with things you know are "bad" for your diet. That will give you an extra assurance that you'll stick to your plan. Nothing bad will happen if you'll eat something "forbidden" sometimes. It's proved and everyone knows that forbidden things and things we "can't" make us happier.

3) Stick to frequent small meals.

Have more small meals not few big and heavy. Make yourself eat, let's say each 2 hours. Don't forget to get enough protein and fibre; balance everything out with some fruit and vegetables. The reason to have number of smaller meals is that keeping away from hunger you won't be snacking throughout the day.

4) Find you food triggers.

Yes, discovering your food triggers - things that make you want to eat you shouldn't, can be very helpful. Personally I can't go shopping when I am hungry; I buy loads of "bad" stuff: crisps, ice cream, pizzas, doughnuts, onion rolls etc. Try to avoid things and places that make you eat you shouldn't.

5) Don't drink your calories but eat them.

Avoid sugar packed sweet drinks and alcohol. They are calorie rich and they could add pounds easily.

6) Exercise.

This one isn't a discovery isn't it? Just a reminder! Exercising will keep you fit and healthy as well as mentally sharp.

7) Extend your meals.

Eat food slowly and enjoy the taste of it. It will make you like the food you eat and you'll be helping your stomach by doing its job.

Following your diet plan is easy. Just plan it properly and stick to it.
