And the last step towards increasing our energy levels through food is attainable by the consumption of lean meats, such as lean pork and skinless chicken. These particular healthy sources of protein contain an amino acid known as tyrosine. Tyrosine boosts our levels of dophamine and neropinephrine, both of which stimulate our brain activity and help us feel more alert and focused. So if you ever feel like your energy needs a little boost, try incorporating some of these foods into your daily diet.
